Summer time is right around the corner and just like an old friend you haven't seen in a while you will welcome it with open arms. When you think of summer your footwear selection might guide you more in the direction of flips flops but why not try something different? If you are bored with your summer wardrobe then try on a pair of cowboy boots. Boots are great in the summer especially with unstructured dresses and skirts. Finding a great pair of cowboy boots can really add to your wardrobe and make a versatile addition to almost any outfit.
Sundresses:
Instead of going with flip flops try wearing boots with a unique design and cool details like inlay, fancy stitching or combination's different leathers. Complete this look by accentuating the details of your boots with matching cuff bracelets and funky jewelry. Try the dress belted with a wide leather belt with funky belt buckle or a braided leather belt. If the boots are more intricate go with a simpler dress, if you have less going on with your boots, go for a more outrageous pattern on your dress. Think Boho with the pattern.
Denim:
Unless you are going for that "Daisy Duke, Jessica Simpson" look stay away from cutoffs but if you are going for that look, more power to you! This is always an option when wearing cowboy boots. If you go the jeans route make sure you have a nice bootcut jean so they will cover your boots, I wouldn't recommend tucking your jeans into your boots unless you have a skinny leg jean and a higher boot that goes over your calf.
Tops:
Try billowy blouses with and different patterns and textures. Crotched tops and layers would work well. Try pairing a blouse with a Bermuda short. Think along the lines of Jessica Alba and Reese Witherspoon.
Finding new and stylish ways to wear your boots will open up entirely new possibilities with your wardrobe and you will definitely get more than a few compliments on the boots!
